Mp3 song download, onto a cd?

Okay, so i need this song, (Take it to the maximum By: Prima J) , which is like really hard to find, for my talent show. There are like only 2 videos with this song on youtube and it isn't available on iTunes. Then, i found the mp3 download for it on 4shared.com so i downloaded it on my mac. Then i put it on a blank CD, and when i got to talent show practice I put the cd in the cd player, clicked play, and it made this really loud beep/buzz sound. SO im not sure exactly what happend? any advice? and are there like any other places i could get it ... please help if any one knows what went wrong. pleaaase! my talent show is soon and i really need it!
