Why doesn't Columbus Ohio do more to attract more tourist or people passing through?

I went to Pigeon Forge Tennessee and it is a tourist town with Dollyworld and things to do. I live in Columbus and been here all my life. Columbus is mostly low income areas today. Columbus is a boring town.
